Terms

Last updated 11 Sep 2026. Crete, Greece. Contact: market@koglabs.com.

1. The site

Crete Market is a marketplace where you compare and request rentals from local businesses in Crete: cars, motorcycles and scooters, ATVs, bicycles, boats, yachts, jet skis and campervans. The operator of the site is reachable at market@koglabs.com. The site does not own the vehicles and does not take payment for the rental in v1.

2. Accounts

You must give a real email and keep the password to yourself. One person, one account. If you run a rental business you apply at the onboarding form. An admin approves the business before the vendor role is granted. A banned account cannot sign in.

3. Bookings

A booking is a request until the rental business confirms it, unless the listing has Instant book. The business has 24 hours to answer a request. If there is no answer the request expires. Dates are stored as a half-open interval in UTC. If two requests hit the same dates, the database rejects the overlap and you see “Those dates were just taken.”

Prices on a listing are set by the business, in euro, with the unit shown (for example €45 / day). The site recomputes the quote when you send the request. Extras, deposits and licence rules on the listing are part of the request.

4. Payment

Payment is at pickup unless the listing says otherwise. The rental business collects the hire and holds any security deposit. A card deposit checkout exists only when that feature is switched on for a listing. Chargebacks and cash disputes are between you and the business.

5. Cancellation

Each listing has a policy: flexible (free until 24 hours before start), moderate (48 hours) or strict (7 days). After the deadline the request is still recorded. Because payment is at pickup, refunds are the business's decision. The business may cancel a confirmed booking with a reason; you are notified.

6. Listings and imported pages

Businesses are responsible for the accuracy of their listings. Some pages were imported from public information and are marked “Listed from public information” until claimed. Details on an unclaimed page can be incomplete. Sending a request on an unclaimed listing is allowed; an admin sees that request.

7. Reviews and messages

One review per completed booking, by the guest, within 60 days of the end time. The business may reply once. Do not post threats, illegal content or another person's private data. The operator may hide a review or a message that breaks this rule.

8. Acceptable use

Do not scrape the catalogue beyond ordinary browsing, do not probe other accounts, and do not upload malware. Images go through the site uploader only. Automated booking spam is blocked by rate limits.

9. Liability

The rental contract is between you and the business. The site is a notice board and a request pipe. To the extent Greek and EU law allow, the operator is not liable for a vehicle that is not as described, for an injury during the hire, or for a business that does not answer. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of Greece. EU consumer rights that cannot be waived still apply if you hire as a consumer. Courts of Greece have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer venue.

11. Changes

Material changes are posted on this page with a new date. Continued use after that date is acceptance of the new terms.
